"My very first sidekick was "Captain Heavy," aka Edard Nelson, a musician and singer I worked with at Specialty Records. He's a software engineer in Texas now. Then came Capt. Chaos, a musician friend of Edard's, and Chaos' then girlfriend Jungle Judy. After that came SuLu and Damaskas, both of whom I got to know after they sent me original songs."
"After I joined Westwood One in 1978, the shows were usually recorded in the daytime when the earlier crew members were working...so various Westwood One employees were heard on syndicated shows around 1978-83. Then the Westwood One people got too busy, as WWO got more corporate, so I generally "flew solo" in the early 1990s."
